Very helpful! I am researching, pre-gaming as it were before I even attempt this stuff… I found the break-down of equipment especially useful; and it was informative seeing your personal experience in this process. Lots of good tips!
Living in a warmer part of the country, how do you recommend one keeping the fermentation process at a constant 70 degrees? My house runs warm. Are those beer carboy cooler jackets just a gimmick or worth the money?
Great vid, very broken down for dumb noobs like moi, all grain brew day should include a sparge tho. Where are you from anyway Otis? New York or Jersey? Accent cracks me up, reminds me of people I served with in Jersey.
I've been home brewing for about a year and a half now, bottling the whole time….now you've convinced me to lean towards kegging…I'll miss my different colored bottle caps and corn sugar
Otis, can I use artificial enzymes on unmalted barley? In one video I saw a person using alpha-amylase and gluco-amylase in corn to convert the starch to sugar. I am just wondering whether I can do the same with barley so that I can skip the germination and drying process. Please let me know 🙂
Hey man, great video. I brewed a batch a few years ago then got busy with family life. Now with three daughters i need a hobby. I will post when my first batch is done.
Cool video check out my brewing tutorials!

While I like using pint bottles with swing caps, they are a pain to wash.

I've been brewing mead for about two years but just started brewing beer. This video is great! Thanks for making it.
I really want to do this, but I'm only 16 🙁
Thank you so much! This was the best on this subject I have watched.
Great simple recipe 4 the new home brewer.
Cheers Brother

i found that the best way to save money is to get equipment off of family members. if they have the stuff, that is.
